Currently seeking experienced Hotel Housemen for ongoing shifts at a High End Luxury Hotel.

Job Description:
Banquet housemen are responsible for making sure that all elements of the banquet or conference are set up following the standards of service set up by management. Before each banquet, the banquet houseman receives instructions on how the banquet is expected to be set up. The banquet houseman sets up all necessary banquet supplies, making sure the banquet is aesthetically pleasing and checking the hall's cleanliness. Once the event is finished, the banquet houseman is responsible for tearing down the supplies.

Essential Duties:
  • Assist with Set up, Break Down and Reset per specification of a banquets event order.
  • Maintain cleanliness  and organization of banquet space, conference rooms, hallways, storage and service areas.
  • Routinely inventory and care for banquets supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and directions.
  • Transporting tables and equipment, and reporting maintenance issues to management.
  • Help assemble temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures
Candidate must possess the following skills below:
  • Basic Math and Language skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)
  • Multitasking, reasoning, problem-solving and a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain poise in fast - paced, high stress situations
  • Strong people skills and a yearning to please hotel's customers and clients.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED and
Previous Hotel Banquet Houseman experience of 6months or more.
Physical requirements include lots of bending, standing, and walking, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
